The Paperback Computer

Why paperback?

Computers were large, expensive and only understandable by a few.

Programming required a small amount of creativity and a large amount of discipline and attention to detail.

At school, you might be able to get a computer run once or twice a day.

Initially computers dealt only with numbers

  • Then with words
  • Then with Graphics
  • Then algebra
  • Then music
  • Then ...

How did the first experience with computer Graphics affected the computer manufacturers? what did they do?
