Important notes about the course:

What is cmps002?

Labs:

  • Labs will start on Monday
  • Labs count towards your final grade (read the grading policy)
  • Lab evaluation consists of: attendance, preparation, assignment and quiz.
  • Get the instructions for each lab from our web page, click on lab assignments on the left margin.
  • Each lab has a section supervisor, who is in charge of your grades. Identify your supervisor. If you do not know who your supervisor is, it means you are not taking your lab seriously.
  • Read the lab assignment BEFORE you come to the lab. You should take your preparation quiz within 15 minutes after the session starts.
  • Labs are an extremely important part of the class and there is no excuse for having low lab grades.
  • If you don't show up in your lab section during the first week, YOU WILL BE DROPPED FROM CLASS.

Enrolling in class:

  • If you are not enrolled and the class is full, chances are very dim of enrolling late. The number of students is limited by the available seats in the lab sections. The best you can do is to enroll for the next quarter.
  • Usually a very small amount of seats become available as some students miss the labs during the first week. Even then, only those lab sections can be used to accommodate more students.
